Alloy 321 (UNS S32100) is a titanium-stabilized austenitic stainless steel that has excellent corrosion resistance. It won’t form chromium carbide at temperatures of 827 to 1500°F (428 – 816°C) like other stainless steels. The alloy will resist oxidation as high as 1500°F (816°C). It also possess good low-temperature toughness and better creep and stress rupture properties than alloys 304 and 304L.
